Both of these come out of the two practices we sell — AI and apps and websites. We build for clients, and we build for ourselves; running our own products is what keeps the engineering honest.
popvibe.live · web and Android
A networking application built on live shows, interest groups and real conversation rather than a feed to scroll. Members book a seat in scheduled shows, join groups and events, post photos and reels, and message or call each other; every profile is checked by a person before it goes live.
It runs on Microsoft Azure — a React application, a Node backend, Postgres, real-time video and audio, push notifications, and M-Pesa and card payments. The AI in it is ours too: local news summaries, speech-to-text captions and ranking. Product, interface, backend and operations, all in house.
Learning & Playing · Nairobi
An early-years children’s playgroup run by Alkamar Investments Ltd in Nairobi — a small setting built around play as the way young children learn.
Fees are paid by M-Pesa or card through a payment page we built ourselves, and a receipt is issued automatically to the payer and to the office the moment a payment clears. Another piece of the same website-building practice, pointed at our own back office.
